Guitar Straps Are A Great Way to
Stand Out
A guitar is one of the best looking and the best sounding instruments, even if you are a not so good guitar player yet, you can still look good while you’re learning to be good, hammering out some jamming riffs. One way to stand out of the crowd is to wear a customized guitar strap.
We all know that image is everything when it comes to rocking the crowd. Being a better guitar player than the next guy will solve a lot those issues, but when it comes to being remembered, the look you sport, the strap you use to sling your axe, is something that you can use to embed your image into people’s minds and give yourself or your band an edge.
Think about it for a minute, there’ve been bands whose entire career has been built off of appearance much more than their talent. KISS, WASP, Motley Crue - each had their own styles and were fun to listen to but when you saw them on stage it was a feast for the eyes way more than for the ears.
Now I’m not saying these guys didn’t have talent, I’m just saying they found a way to set themselves apart from the crowd, to be remembered and put themselves over the top.
So what’s this got to do with you or a guitar strap? Well assuming you are not a member of one of the top bands around today and are an aspiring guitarist looking to break away from the pack. Growing where you’re planted, as they say, is where you should start and as a musician image is one area where you can easily grow.
You’ve heard the saying that image is everything haven’t you? Well it’s a true saying. Think of all the actors who are beautiful people but the level of talent isn’t as good as their looks.
Think of the man or woman at work who you know you could out perform but they are the ones getting the promotions and raises. Are they ugly or do they dress poorly? Maybe, but chances are they do not.
If you are serious about giving yourself and edge than a customized guitar strap could be the difference between you or some other guitarist or band getting theirs and you just looking from the outside in.
